£1.7million new building

Autumn 2013 will see the opening of a brand new space especially for Ockendon Studio School students that will simulate a real working environment.

Paid work experience

You will be offered to two days per week paid work experience in your chosen field of work.

Invested £144,000 in new technologies

Each student will be given a new laptop/tablet device to enhance their studies worth up to £400.

Enhanced enrichment programme

Extra-curricular activities to support your entry into employment or Higher Education such as: Duke of Edinburgh, Extended Project, Certificate of Personal Effectiveness and Sports Leader Award.

Welcome to Ockendon Studio School

The Ockendon Studio School offers an exciting new approach to school and education for 14 to 19 year olds. One of only 12 studio schools nationally it provides a unique approach to learning that combines academic education with the real world of work.

Students at the Ockendon Studio School get an ’Outstanding’ (Ofsted) education as well as having the opportunity to gain key employability skills relevant to their chosen career path. This academic yet practical approach to learning, rooted in the real world, supports young people to acquire the skills, knowledge and experience to succeed into employment, apprenticeships, further education and university.
